Overview
The Sunstrider Omnium is an ancient magical repository and research system created by Dath’Remar Sunstrider to preserve, study, and expand magical knowledge. Its interlocking Magicules represent distinct disciplines of magic. The system lay dormant for ages after the collapse of the old Quel’Thalassian order surrounding Anasterian’s fall.
The rebirth of the Dawnwell awakens the Omnium, but its initial activity is unstable. It produces dangerous anomalies and hostile security manifestations rather than returning cleanly to its intended purpose. The damage includes the loss of its Void Magicule, torn out by Dar’Khan Drathir, and requires both recovery of that component and a key-cipher recalibration.
Restoration
The restoration during Midnight is led technically by Vanyael, Grand Magister Rommath, and Umbric. Rommath’s recovered key-cipher descends through the office of Grand Magister from Belo’vir Salonar. The parallel Sunstrider monarch’s cipher once held by Kael’thas remains lost. Kael’thas had attempted to call the Omnium but failed; the system’s later restoration does not grant Vanyael any revived dynastic authority.
Vanyael, Rommath, and Umbric recover the Void Magicule, reintegrate it, and reconfigure the system. Caldyris provides martial protection for Vanyael and Rommath, while Lynara accompanies Umbric during the Void-focused fieldwork. The restored Omnium is opened through the revived Seeker of Wisdom tradition, allowing qualified practitioners of any race to study it and contribute new discoveries.
