Overview
Kilean is a Kul Tiran natural shapeshifter and long-serving naval captain. He comes from a hereditary line whose members possess an innate ability to assume animal forms. The form associated with his fighting is a bear, and he uses it as readily as another sailor might use armor or a weapon.
Inherited Shapeshifting
Kilean’s animal forms are not the result of formal druidic training. They are part of an inherited Kul Tiran tradition within his family line. He does not claim the wider range of a conventional druid’s spellcraft or shapeshifting; his gift is narrower, personal, and bound to the bodies his people have always been able to assume.
Naval Service
He joined the Kul Tiran Navy around the time of the First War, serving in Kul Tiras or wherever the kingdom acted independently. He remained in naval service through the Second and Third Wars, beginning as an enlisted sailor and rising through the ranks until he held a captaincy by the Third War. His life at sea gives his shapeshifting a practical military use, but neither his captaincy nor his gift replaces the other.
