Overview
Thalanor Blackgaze is a Ren’dorei demon hunter who remains part of the Illidari while standing with the Alliance. His life has carried him from Quel’Thalas through the Illidari and into the Void, without allowing any one allegiance to erase the others.

Thalanor began as a blood elf and joined the Illidari as a demon hunter. At some point in that career, he adopted the name Blackgaze. It is not his birth surname, and the circumstances in which he chose it remain unknown.
Devourer
When Ren’dorei began sharing their Void discipline with Illidari, Thalanor took to it eagerly. He became one of the earliest hunters to make that discipline part of his life, and sustained exposure eventually transformed him into a Ren’dorei.
