Overview
The Emberguard is a longstanding Sin’dorei martial fellowship associated with Silvermoon and Quel’Thalas. It is elite, tight-knit, and defined by shared standards, traditions, service, and personal loyalty rather than by a single conventional command structure. Its members may serve in different professions, orders, commands, or public roles while remaining bound to the Emberguard.
The Emberguard existed before Aestian, Caldyris, or Vanyael joined it. Their membership places them within an older organization rather than making them its founders.
During the Pandaria Campaign, an Emberguard expedition serves as the blood elf contingent attached to the Horde expedition. Vanyael acts as its political patron and formal authority, drawing on the resources of his collateral Sunstrider household, while Aestian commands its practical military operations. Caldyris later serves alongside them in this deployment. This campaign is one deployment of the wider fellowship, not the Emberguard’s founding.
