Voidstorm

Overview

The Voidstorm is a Void-shaped world that serves as Xal’atath’s launching point for the assault on Quel’Thalas. It is a planet at a nexus of Void energies rather than the Void’s homeworld. Predation, unstable power, and ambient whispers make it a uniquely dangerous setting even for practiced ren’dorei.

During Midnight, the storm amplifies the corruption already developing within Praedys. He attacks Aestian and Caldyris soon after entering it, then repeatedly turns the terrain and its power against their pursuit. The same conditions make Lynara’s later recovery of him extraordinary without making the Voidstorm itself survivable or safe.

• Praedys - openly falls within the storm and becomes one of its most dangerous empowered agents.
