Drakkari

Overview

The Drakkari are ice trolls of Northrend, centered around Zul’Drak. Their civilization collapsed under Scourge pressure and desperate attempts to sacrifice their loa for power.

Their older martial culture was harshly collectivist: war was understood through loyalty, betrayal, useful sacrifice, and service to one’s people rather than a strict civilian-combatant distinction. Restricted blood rites existed before the invasion and could strengthen a warrior’s body and vital essence. During the Scourge catastrophe, such practices spread into increasingly desperate uses of blood and loa power.
