Overview
The Stonetalon Mountains are a rugged central Kalimdor range west of the Barrens, south of Ashenvale, and north of Desolace and Mulgore. Their forests, mines, high passes, and broken canyons have long made them a contested frontier among night elves, tauren, goblins, and the Alliance and Horde.
During the Cataclysm, the Alliance campaign through Stonetalon naturally fed south through Stonetalon Pass into the wider Southern Barrens conflict.
