Disciples of Khaine

The Disciples of Khaine are rare Druchii warrior-priests, set apart by selective initiation, secret rites, and specialized religious knowledge. Hag Queens possess knowledge associated with the origins and initiation of the order.

Their calling can begin with survival of an offering to Khaine. Praedys was sacrificed by his birth family, survived, and was selected for the extraordinary rites that brought him into the order. He regards the vocation as an elevation worth more than the family ties left behind.

In battle, Disciples sustain allied warriors through Khaine’s power, allowing the slaughter to continue. They wield paired curved ritual blades and wear ornamental armor with priestly robes. Facial ornaments and piercings accompany the molten-brass appearance of their eyes.

Recognition and Deployment

Knowledge of the order is uneven. Religious authorities, commanders, and privileged individuals may know its members and powers, while others have met a single Disciple or heard stories whose details are uncertain. Rumour can obscure their nature, and many ordinary Druchii know little of them as a distinct institution.

A Disciple can therefore fight openly in an assault while remaining an unfamiliar figure to the warriors around him. Such deployments carry the order’s power into the war without making its members commonplace.

Notes

Uneven public awareness is an approved project-specific harmonization of WAR’s rare and secretive initiation account. The statement that Disciples can be found on the frontline of any Druchii assault establishes possible deployment, not a requirement that every assault includes one.

The complete hierarchy remains unresolved. Knowledge held by Hag Queens does not establish automatic direct subordination to particular Hag Queens or Death Hags, or equivalence to a rank in the Witch Elf priesthood. Praedys’s assigning authority remains unnamed.

The original WAR initiation account and visual depiction retain priority. The provisional Temple of Spite account does not introduce ceremonial iron masks or divergent ice-blue eyes into this continuity. See Canon and Status.
