Wrathion identifies Fahrad as the final black dragon he intends to eliminate during the Fangs of the Father campaign. When Wrathion deliberately provokes the corruption into manifesting, Redyn kills Fahrad because the danger has become immediate. Redyn later concludes that Wrathion engineered the confrontation and used him as an executioner while withholding the full context.
