Overview
The Explorers’ League is Ironforge’s archaeological and exploratory society, based in the Hall of Explorers. Created to investigate the origins of the dwarven people, it studies ruins, recovers artifacts, surveys distant lands, and organizes expeditions across Azeroth and beyond. Though predominantly dwarven, it has long accepted skilled explorers from other peoples.
The League’s work includes both prospectors and the Bael’dun expedition in Kalimdor. Its institutional archaeology grew from older dwarven traditions of prospecting, ruin-delving, and historical inquiry rather than replacing them.
Known Connections
- Monli - an early member whose antiquarian and prospecting career long predated the League’s formal archaeological work.
- Bael Modan - a major dwarven archaeological presence in Kalimdor.
