Dark Elves
Overview
The Druchii are the exiled Elves of Naggaroth, ruled by Malekith the Witch King. From their black cities and great Black Arks they make war upon distant shores, taking plunder and captives while pursuing their ancient hatred of the High Elves.
In the Age of Reckoning
The crisis in the Old World has given Malekith another opportunity to invade Ulthuan. The warriors of House Uthorin serve within this assault as part of the armies of Destruction.
Culture and Identity
Druchii society prizes power, ambition, cruelty, and the ability to survive treachery. Noble houses contend for influence beneath the Witch King’s absolute rule, slavery sustains their realm, and the bloody worship of Khaine holds a feared place among them.
Druchii may form marriages, family bonds, friendships, sexual relationships, and genuine personal attachments within a culture strongly shaped by ambition, self-interest, cruelty, and suspicion. Institutional obligations can take precedence without making affection impossible.
Caldyris renounced birth-family allegiance through the Dragon Oath, while Praedys places little value on the family that offered him for sacrifice. Lynara may retain affection and concern for wealthy relatives beneath her primary Convent loyalty. Saerina shares her vocation with three biological sisters, while obedience to Khaine remains paramount.
Earned Names of Power carry particular prestige alongside hereditary family names. Grimblade and Doomwind describe Caldyris’s and Lynara’s achievements rather than their ancestry.
