Overview

The Zandalari invasion of Pandaria was a major imperial campaign undertaken by the Zandalari Empire in alliance with the restored Thunder King and the mogu empire.

Hukhano entered the campaign as a senior officer of the Zandalari crown with authority over his own soldiers, shamans, ships, and trusted officers. He accepted the invasion’s imperial purpose and had no objection to conquest, the use of ruthless methods, or cooperation with the mogu.

His withdrawal came from political and strategic judgment. As the campaign moved toward the Isle of Thunder, he concluded that Zul had deceived Rastakhan, misrepresented the campaign’s costs and likely gains, subordinated Zandalari interests to Lei Shen, and wasted Zandalari lives in service to a restored mogu empire that would not treat Zandalar as an equal.
