Clan Blackforge is an old and prominent Dark Iron clan historically associated with the founding and establishment of the Black Forge complex in Blackrock Depths. Its name remains closely bound to Dark Iron metallurgy, yet the complex became an institution of importance to the people of Shadowforge as a whole rather than a private clan possession.
The clan’s historical work helped establish the interconnected forge, anvil, foundries, workshops, refining halls, and smelting infrastructure that sustain Dark Iron smithing. The Black Anvil remains especially significant within that larger complex.
