Dark Iron

Overview

Dark Iron dwarves are a fiery, subterranean dwarven people centered historically on Shadowforge City and Blackrock Mountain. Their history includes conflict with other dwarves, enslavement by Ragnaros, and later reintegration into Alliance politics. Their cultural identity is closely bound to the smithing and metallurgical traditions of Blackrock Depths, especially the Black Forge and sacred Black Anvil.

Fireblood

Dark Iron dwarves possess the Fireblood racial aptitude, an expression of their affinity for fire and heat. Its exact physiology is not exhaustively defined, but it is a Dark Iron trait rather than a martial discipline or class specialization. Individual Dark Iron may develop highly different uses for it; Garni’s fire-oriented death-knight practice is one such personal development.
