Dark Convent

The Dark Convent is the institution of Druchii Sorceresses associated with Morathi and headquartered at Ghrond. Its principal divine association is Hekarti, goddess of Dark Magic, though members may also venerate Khaine and other Druchii deities. It remains institutionally distinct from the Cult of Khaine.

Initiated Sorceresses are traditionally forbidden to marry or bear children. Their lives and ambitions are bound to the obligations of the Convent.

Lynara has approximately a century of sorcerous experience and is renowned for exceptional raw magical power. Her superiors arrange her service with Caldyris’s squad through an agreement with the Tower of Wrath. She contributes her magic under his operational direction while retaining her professional judgment and Convent allegiance.

Notes

The prohibition on marriage and childbearing does not establish a universal ban on emotional or sexual relationships. The details of the Tower-Convent agreement and Lynara’s precise rank remain unresolved.
