The Empire

Overview

The Empire is the greatest human nation of the Old World, founded by Sigmar and composed of provinces whose rulers owe allegiance to an elected Emperor. Its armies rely upon disciplined soldiery, knightly orders, artillery, faith, and the sanctioned sorcery of the Colleges of Magic.

Karl Franz rules from Altdorf, but the Elector Counts retain broad authority within their own provinces. Rivalries divide the realm even while a shared Imperial culture, the cult of Sigmar, and common enemies bind it together.

Known Connections

The northern invasion led by the Raven Host threatens the Empire during the Age of Reckoning. One early crisis centres on the defense of Grimmenhagen in Nordland. Jarcey and Drasol arrive from Altdorf as formal reinforcements for the Order of the Griffon, while Cairden and Redyn cooperate with the Griffon’s operations voluntarily and retain their own religious responsibilities.
