Overview
Twinbraid was an Alliance general in the Southern Barrens during the Cataclysm and later the High Marshal commanding Operation: Shieldwall in Krasarang.
Southern Barrens
As General Twinbraid, he directed the Alliance defense of Bael Modan. He sent Cogblast to investigate the expedition when Marley Twinbraid reported trouble. After Bael’dun Keep was destroyed, Corvo’s report and Weezil Slipshadow’s body established that a goblin saboteur had been involved. Twinbraid correctly recognized the evidence of goblin involvement but wrongly held the nearby Bilgewater mine responsible. He ordered retaliation against the Frazzlecraz Motherlode, where Corvo and Tinks carried out the ground raid.
Aibhinger arrived with the Stonetalon campaign’s report at roughly the same time. Rather than joining the raid, Aibh escorted the displaced Bael Modan dwarves toward Theramore.
Role in the Lore
Aibhinger serves directly beneath Twinbraid during Operation: Shieldwall, leading Alliance troops in the field while Twinbraid retains theater command, logistics, fortification, and formal authority. Twinbraid’s command marks Aibhinger’s formal re-establishment within the Ironforge military.
