Overview
Fizzle & Pozzik’s Speedbarge is a shared Horde and Alliance engineering hub in the flooded Thousand Needles. Its mixed clientele, machinery, and practical need for skilled hands make it a natural meeting point for people whose factional loyalties do not prevent them from needing the same docks, repairs, supplies, and engineering expertise.
Cogblast and Tinks arrive there with the refugees from New Thalanaar. Gellix reaches it through the Horde-side route after helping Gann Stonespire’s operation against Bael’dun Keep. The three men meet there before Corvo and Tinks know that Gellix personally helped destroy the keep. In an argument, Gellix is entirely capable of admitting the fact with careless pride, turning an existing gnome-and-goblin hostility into a much more personal one.
The barge also becomes the base for the Thousand Needles Oil Field Dispute. Its Alliance and Horde engineering crews compete for temporary access to the nearby centaur oil pools, negotiate separately, and ultimately dispatch separate drilling operations. The shared hub keeps the rivalry visible even when the factions do not literally repeat one another’s work.
