Overview
Rehlos is a Chosen of Tzeentch whose aristocratic bearing and disciplined command of violence make him an imposing figure among the aspirants of the Raven Host. His contempt for ordinary humanity rests on the conviction that divine favour has elevated him beyond its limits.
Personality
Rehlos carries the pride of martial nobility into the service of Chaos. He values discipline, competence, and the ability to command, regarding Imperial morality and conventional religion as restraints he has surpassed. His devotion to Tzeentch centres upon elevation and transcendence.
History
During his earliest proving trials, Rehlos begins cooperating with Carsybe. Each recognizes the other’s usefulness, and neither offers trust. Rehlos expects manipulation from a competent Magus and regards Carsybe’s attempts to influence him as behaviour that can be anticipated and accounted for. The sorcerer’s usefulness makes the arrangement worth tolerating.
Their paths converge with those of Mourgrim and Craeven during the Raven Host Proving. The four participate in the same test or operation as capable aspirants whose complementary strengths make their cooperation effective. Their success gives them reason to work together again.
Rehlos’s military authority grows through demonstrated competence and advancement. He eventually commands a larger Raven Host field formation that may include Marauders, lesser Chaos warriors, cultists, auxiliaries, and other assigned troops. The four early aspirants become its most memorable figures.
Relationships
Carsybe becomes his principal Magus and sorcerous adviser. Rehlos expects the sorcerer to seek influence through indirect means and never trusts him naively. Each believes he understands the other’s intentions well enough to turn them to his own advantage.
Craeven serves as the command’s principal Zealot and religious authority, accepting Rehlos’s temporal leadership while regarding all of them as instruments of Tzeentch. Mourgrim is its outstanding front-line Marauder, a warrior whose extraordinary durability makes him effective wherever Rehlos directs the assault.
