Age of Reckoning

The Age of Reckoning brings three great wars into conjunction during the reign of Karl Franz. The Empire and Dwarfs face invasion in the Old World as the High Elves confront another Druchii assault upon their homeland. The alliances of Order and Destruction draw these struggles together without erasing the separate purposes of their participants.

The Empire and the Raven Host

Tchar’zanek, a powerful Chosen of Tzeentch, unites northern Chaos forces into the Raven Host and invades The Empire. Cult activity, plague, mutation, and subversion accompany the armies, deepening the danger within the realm as well as along its frontiers. The Order of the Griffon stands among the forces resisting the invasion.

At Grimmenhagen, Cairden is already tending the Sigmarite community when the immediate crisis begins. Jarcey and Drasol arrive from Altdorf under formal orders, while Redyn is independently investigating suspected heretics nearby. Their responsibilities bring them into cooperation during the defense.

Within the invading host, Rehlos and Carsybe begin a mutually distrustful but useful association. Mourgrim and Craeven initially advance separately before the Raven Host Proving brings the four into meaningful cooperation. Continued service makes them the memorable core of Rehlos’s larger field command.

The Dwarf Holds and the Greenskin Offensive

Malekith helps create a Greenskin crisis that limits the aid the Dwarfs can offer the Empire. Grumlok and Gazbag lead the Bloody Sun Boyz against the holds of Karaz Ankor, while the Oathbearers fight within the Dwarf resistance.

Fighting around Ekrund and Mordrin’s Anvil threatens a settlement recently recovered and rebuilt. Varell has returned to reclaim his clan’s ancestral homeland. Orenne has joined as an Engineer and remained to continue the reconstruction. Both are already resident when the renewed offensive begins.

Aibhinger is dispatched from Karak Azul as a reinforcement and invites Yurric from Karak Kadrin. Their arrival together follows a friendship that long predates the war. All four bring the skills of experienced practitioners to Ekrund’s defense.

The Invasion of Ulthuan

The Old World’s wars draw High Elf attention and forces away from Ulthuan. Malekith exploits the opportunity to launch another major invasion. The Shining Guard serves within the island’s defense, while House Uthorin participates in the Druchii assault.

Aboard the Black Ark Nemesis, Caldyris assumes command of a newly assembled elite squad of approximately twelve. Lynara, Praedys, and Saerina serve among its specialists. Their independent operations combine military leadership, Convent sorcery, and Khainite devotion, with each specialist retaining the obligations of their own institution.

Notes

The final outcome remains unresolved; neither alliance has an established permanent victory. See WAR and the End Times.

The Empire and Dwarf characters do not form permanent four-person parties by default. Caldyris’s single elite squad is an expressly approved exception, with additional unnamed personnel. The extent of later shared operations remains open.

The Eight Peaks garrison explanation remains a provisional harmonization. Starting ranks and repeatable gameplay do not determine the characters’ professional competence or literal biographies.
