Overview
Agoro is a gray-skinned Blackrock orc, a Horde soldier, and a principal Horde battlefield commander during the Pandaria Campaign. Born on Draenor, he crossed the Dark Portal as a child old enough to remember the world he had left and to resent being judged too young to fight beside the Blackrock warriors. His path through the Horde later came under a cloud he did not create: during the Classic era, he was framed for the murder of a visiting Tauren dignitary in Undercity.
Draenor, Internment, and the New Horde
Agoro’s gray coloration is a natural Blackrock phenotype, inherited from his Draenor-born people rather than acquired through later life around Blackrock Mountain. The Blackrock identity is equally old. During his childhood, Eitrigg and Varok Saurfang were already renowned Blackrock warriors, figures Agoro knew first by reputation. Eitrigg later left the Horde while Agoro remained among the interned orcs, and they did not share that experience. After Thrall’s rise, Agoro came to know Eitrigg personally as a respected Blackrock elder and eventual chieftain within the New Horde.
Agoro grew to adulthood in the Alliance internment camps and was among the orcs liberated by Thrall. By the opening of the Classic campaign, he was roughly in his mid-thirties and already an experienced Horde soldier. His posting in the Valley of Trials was therefore military work, not the coming-of-age experience of the younger recruits passing through it. Guard duty, patrols, security, and local investigations occupied him there; the Valley’s formal language of coming of age belonged to those recruits, though Agoro may himself have completed that earlier rite under Kaltunk.
The Undercity Framing
The dignitary had arrived as part of a larger delegation from the Kalimdor races. The amnesiac Forsaken Morrivar was manipulated into implicating Agoro in the killing. For Agoro, the charge began a prolonged struggle to clear his name, restore his honor, and rebuild his place in the Horde. For Morrivar, it became an early moral shock: evidence of the harm he could cause while acting without knowledge of who he had been or who was directing him.
Pandaria
By the Pandaria campaign, Agoro is the battlefield counterpart to Aibhinger during the Alliance-Horde conflict in Krasarang, leading from the front while Gellix supports him as a key field champion and specialist.
He also serves in the Dominance Offensive, where command, heavy combat, and the ability to hold a line under pressure make him one of the Horde’s most visible officers in the campaign.
Xuen’s Blessing
During Wrathion’s Pandaria campaign, Agoro receives Xuen’s blessing through the Celestial Artifacts, emphasizing speed, ferocity, instinct, and relentless aggression.
