Overview
Emberwake is a standing dracthyr unit formally incorporated into Morrivar Company. It has a persistent identity and core membership. It is not a temporary Alpha or Beta-style mission squad.
The unit can deploy as a coherent formation, while its members may also serve in wider Company operations. Its eventual core operational members are Vandryk, Zayla, Trishale, and Infinis.
Vathor is Emberwake’s high-level Morrivar Company patron. He is responsible for bringing the unit into the Company and supports it at a senior level. Vandryk is Emberwake’s actual operational commander. His authority is real and independent: Emberwake is not Vathor’s private command, a containment unit for Infinis, or a rehabilitation project personally supervised by Vathor.
Morrivar Company remains formally Alliance-aligned and answers to the Alliance through Cairden, though by the period around Midnight it operates across softened faction lines. Emberwake’s incorporation does not erase personal or group loyalties, and its members are not property or subjects of the Company.
Infinis joins Emberwake as a deliberate trial or experiment in belonging. This is voluntary rather than parole, imprisonment, custody, or reward. The test is whether he can accept connection, camaraderie, mutual reliance, and shared responsibility without surrendering his identity, autonomy, or judgment.
