Caldyris’s Detachment

Caldyris commands an elite squad of approximately twelve Druchii assembled for the invasion of Ulthuan. He arrives aboard the Nemesis specifically to assume its leadership. Lynara, Praedys, and Saerina are among the specialists brought together for the campaign.

The squad is suited to independent operations requiring a mixture of force, stealth, and specialist knowledge. Its duties can encompass reconnaissance, sabotage, raids, infiltration, targeted killings, recovery operations, intelligence gathering, and attacks upon strategically valuable targets.

Command and Assignments

Caldyris directs the squad’s operations. His seniority and delegated authority may also give him temporary command of additional troops, assigned reinforcements, or joint operations. Such responsibilities arise through the military authority entrusted to him.

Praedys and Saerina serve under orders from their Khainite superiors. Lynara’s attachment is arranged between the Dark Convent and the Tower of Wrath, through negotiations conducted above her and Caldyris. Neither took part in those negotiations or has much interest in their finer terms.

The specialists remain members of their own institutions. Lynara recognizes Caldyris’s operational leadership while exercising the professional discretion and responsibilities of a Convent Sorceress.

Notes

The squad is newly assembled rather than an established permanent unit. Its other members, missions, assigning Khainite authorities, and the detailed Tower-Convent agreement remain unresolved. It is a single squad, not the superseded larger company or multi-squad formation. Caldyris has no automatic command over all ordinary Druchii officers.
