Overview
The Outland campaign sends Alliance and Horde forces across the shattered world beyond the Dark Portal through different allies and theaters of war. Tinks provides the broadest connective thread among the Alliance adventurers, moving through the campaign’s ordinary regional work, neutral factions, dungeon expeditions, local crises, and the strange concerns between larger operations. Drasol quickly reaches Shattrath and the Scryers, then becomes involved in major arcane and political affairs. Iruuk travels across Draenor through its draenei lands and histories. Rehlos enters as Vindicator Rehlos of the Aldor, already rooted in Shattrath’s conflict and able to connect the newcomers to that institution. They meet only when the wider war brings them together, especially toward Shadowmoon Valley and the final operations against Illidan and the Legion.
On the Horde side, Jabbek, Carsybe, Aestian, and Caldyris serve in different parts of the Horde war effort. Vanyael pursues Kael’thas and the Sunfury separately; Callae and Sindweller remain with the Illidari, and Jhara does not fight for the Horde.
Known Connections
- Drasol - Scryer ally involved in Netherstorm and the campaign against Kael’thas.
- Iruuk - Exodari shaman aligned with the Aldor in Shattrath.
- Rehlos - Aldor Vindicator and holy warrior already serving in Outland before joining the wider Alliance effort.
- Tinks - principal Alliance adventurer across the campaign’s broad regional, neutral-faction, local, and expeditionary work.
- Cairden - remains on Azeroth with Tirion to rebuild the Silver Hand rather than entering Outland.
Notes
Player-avatar material in Outland is distributed across parallel character paths rather than treated as one permanent party. On the Alliance side, Tinks is the primary default adventurer; Drasol carries high-level Scryer, Netherstorm, and Kael’thas work; Iruuk carries major draenei, Aldor, and ground-level Draenor material; and Rehlos carries Aldor-linked Vindicator and holy-warrior material. On the Horde side, substantial player-facing work is divided among Jabbek, Carsybe, Aestian, and Caldyris; Vanyael follows a separate Sunfury and Kael’thas storyline.
