Unresolved Continuity Issues

Character reuse and identities

  • Approved names, families, origins, professional histories, and relationships are recorded in the character articles. Remaining gaps do not authorize additional biography; the questions below identify the principal unresolved matters.
  • Morrivar is not assigned to an individual WAR character; it remains available as a possible family name or future inter-canon/avatar character.
  • Gender is established for the human, Dwarf, High Elf, and Dark Elf principal characters, including Praedys. Unspecified fields elsewhere remain open.
  • Rehlos (Chosen), Mourgrim (Marauder), Carsybe (Magus), and Craeven (Zealot) become the named core of a larger Raven Host field command after the Raven Host Proving; they are not a fixed four-man party from the beginning. Their origins and biography outside the locked campaign structure remain open.
  • Yurric takes his oath after his Thane dies in a rival Dwarf noble’s engineered ambush. The Thane, conspirator, motive, ambushers, detailed circumstances, and timing and method of exposure remain unresolved. The conspirator flees to an unnamed Dwarf Border Prince’s territory; that ruler’s identity and jurisdiction, the fugitive’s later activities, and Aibhinger’s eventual settlement of the grudge remain open.
  • Aibhinger and Yurric’s precise ages, birth dates, and kinship through separate Ironhammer branches remain open; they are not close blood relatives. Yurric’s death is not established.
  • Varell’s precise birth date, clan branch migration, prior training and career, arrival date, local institutional standing, and living relatives associated with Eight Peaks remain open.
  • Orenne’s hamlet, governing hold, mentor, apprenticeship dates, earlier assignments, Guild rank, and specific reclamation accomplishments remain open.
  • The exact supernatural basis and limits of Mourgrim’s extraordinary durability remain unresolved. Literal immortality is not established.
  • The Empire quartet’s precise sequence of shared operations after their convergence at Grimmenhagen remains open; no permanent unit or single commander has been established.
  • Jarcey’s exact Estalian estate and title, the Mueller brothers’ birthplace and ages, the circumstances of Johren Mueller’s murder, Elias’s parents and their deaths, and Drasol’s precise Kislevite ancestry remain unresolved.
  • Kelham remains an unresolved candidate for the Mueller family’s hometown. Elias’s precise age at Johren’s murder, whether he formally entered the Order of the Torch, and whether he ever finds Johren’s murderers remain open.
  • The later occasion on which Drasol may acquire the public epithet “the Dragon of the Sun” has not been established.

Dark Elf Institutions and Identities

  • Caldyris’s precise Tower of Wrath rank and the Tower Master’s identity.
  • The remaining members and specific operations of his approximately twelve-person squad.
  • The feats earning Grimblade and Doomwind, and both characters’ total ages.
  • Lynara’s exact Convent rank, family status, hereditary name, holdings, and relatives.
  • Saerina’s sisters’ identities, ages, temple assignments, and individual histories.
  • Praedys’s total age, previous campaigns, and further initiation particulars.
  • The complete Disciple hierarchy, the assigning Khainite authorities, and the detailed Tower-Convent agreement.
  • New lore published on or after July 11, 2015 requires approval under Canon and Status; Temple of Spite supplies no automatic replacement for WAR’s Disciples.

WAR and later events

  • What date and duration best fit the Age of Reckoning in the late Karl Franz era?
  • Which WAR PvE campaign events have clear narrative outcomes, and what is their sequence?
  • How does the Age of Reckoning end without either alliance permanently defeating the other?
  • Can the campaign be followed by recognizable End Times events while preserving the largest amount of WAR material?
  • Which canonical figures’ locations, allegiances, or fates create hard contradictions?

Gameplay representation

  • Which RvR advances, keep changes, and city assaults are concrete events in the historical campaign?
  • Which ruler battles are one-time narrative events, and which are repeatable mechanics?
  • How should quests or instances with contradictory states be reconciled?

Karak Eight Peaks

WAR’s descriptions of Dwarf control may conflict with Belegar’s incomplete reconquest and the Greenskin/Skaven presence. The fortified settlement or garrison explanation is a provisional harmonization, not a settled fact.

Excluded continuity

Storm of Chaos does not belong to this project’s WAR or final WHFB/End Times continuity and is not an event in the chronology.
